Colombia started peace talks with ELN guerrilla

After signing the peace contract between government and the FARC-rebels and the beginning of the implementation of the peace process, the president Juan Manuel Santos and the ELN (Ejército de Liberacion Nacional) have started peace talks in Quito/Ecuador. The ELN is the country's largest guerrilla movement after the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). Only the release of ELN-hostage Odin Sanchez,  a former congressman, on 2nd of February cleared the path to the next round of dialogue. Yesterday (07th of February 2017) the two sides started the peace talks that include an agenda of 6 points of negotiation from disarming the guerrilla group to political participation). We will keep you informed about actual events.

Start der Friedensverhandlungen der kolumbianischen Regierung mit der Guerrillagruppe ELN

Nach dem das Friedensakommen mit der FARC-EP letztes Jahr unter Dach und Fach gebracht wurde und der Friedensprozess eingeleitet wurde, wird nun seit gestern in Quito/Ecuador auch mit der ELN (Ejercito de Liberacion Nacional), Kolumbiens zweitgrößter Guerilla, über ein Friedensabkommen verhandelt. Die Gespräche haben am Montag, den 6. Februar 2017 gestartet und beihalten eine Agenda von 6 Punkten: Von der Entwaffnung der noch rund 1500 – 2000 ELN Kämpfer bis zu ihrer politischen Beteiligung. Wir halten Euch hier auf dem laufenden über die Entwicklung der Gespräche und die Bedeutung für Kolumbien.

Re-Certificatation of Promotora Neptuno in Sustainable Tourism

After an intensive effort during the last two years, advanced trainings and a lot of internal and external meetings we were able to recertify our company once again in sustainable tourism. It is the national Colombian certificate „Certificado de Calidad Turistica“.

In this process we checked our facilities in matters of sustainability issues, we hold a lot of small internal meetings with our staff and tried to integrate as many of our providers as possible. We took a closer look at our product range and arrived at the decision that we want to strengthen our focus even more on products that follow the concept of „community-based-tourism“ and “authentic experiences”. In 2015 we  started to work with different charitable foundations that also can be visited by our clients. We can proudly say that we sent the first trainee to on of the charitable foundations, the project "Hogar de Paz" What experiences do you have in the field of certifying your company in sustainable tourism? Promotora Neptuno – Re-Zertififizierung in nachhaltigem Tourismus

Vor wenigen Tagen haben wir es geschafft uns einmal mehr mit dem kolumbianischen offiziellen Siegel „Certificado de Calidad Turistica“ zu zertifizieren. Dies ist das insgesamt dritte Mal nach der ersten Zertifizierung  im Dezember 2014 und unserer Rezertifizierung April 2016. Wir haben in den vergangenen 3 Jahren das ein oder andere dazugelernt und intern optimiert. Das Spektrum recht von einer dramatischen Senkung des internen Wasser- und Stromverbrauchs bis zum Design und Verkauf von neu Produkten, die sich stark am Konzept des "community based tourism" orientieren.

Ausserdem arbeiten wir seit dem Jahr 2015 mit einigen karitativen Einrichtungen und Sozialprojekten in Bogota zusammen, welche auch von unseren Kunden besucht werden können und welche wir regelmässig unterstützen. Vor 2 Wochen konnten wir in diesem Zusammhang auch die erste Praktikantin an das Projekt "Hogar de Paz vermitteln. Danke für eure Unterstützung!

Today we have some airline news for you:

LATAM offers from the 26th of March 2017 on, 4 times a week the regular flight Santa Marta - Medellín / Medellín - Santa Marta. (sundays, tuesdays, wednesdays, fridays).

Also LATAM connects from the 29th of March 2017 on, 2 times a week Cartagena and San Andres. (wednesdays and saturdays).

If you have any question about flight connections in Colombia, just ask us. And remember we have IATA licence and can issue flight tickets for you. 

Neue Flugverbindungen LATAM

Es gibt mal wieder neue nützliche Flugverbindungen in Kolumbien:

LATAM wird ab dem 26. März 2017 4 Mal wöchentlich die Strecke Medellín – Santa Marta / Santa Marta - Medellín anbieten. (Sonntags, Dienstags, Mittwochs, Freitags)

Ausserdem wird LATAM ab dem 29. März 2017 2 Mal wöchentlich die Strecke Cartagena – San Andres / San Andres – Cartagena fliegen. (Mittwochs und Samstags).

Important information about the touristic operation in the Lost City

Due to cultural and religious ceremonies of the different indigenous cummunities in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta the Ciudad Perdida Trekking (Lost City Trekking) is suspended from the 01st of September to the 30th of September 2017.

If one of your clients is affected by the closing of the park "Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta", we will contact you.

Wichtiger Hinweis zur touristischen Operation des Trekkings zur "Verlorenen Stadt"

Aufgrund von kulturellen und religiösen Zeremonien der unterschiedlichen indigenen Gemeinden in der Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta ist im Zeitraum zwischen dem 01. und dem 30. September 2017 kein Trekking zur Verlorenen Stadt "Ciudad Perdida" möglich. Bis Ende August sowie ab dem 01. Oktober 2017 kann die Exkursion wieder normal angeboten werden. 

Falls einer Eurer Kunden von einer der Schliessung betroffen ist, kommen wir entsprechend auf Euch zu.
