With the promise of a true low cost carrier with the best fares for domestic flights in Colombia, the new airline VivaColombia will launch its operation in May 2012. The first scheduled flights to operate are Medellin to Bogota, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena and Bucaramanga – it is expected that the route network will be expanded gradually. Nevado de Ruiz – an active giant

For the area around the volcano Nevado de Ruiz still exists alarm level "Orange II - eruption within days or weeks probably," because of volcanic activities.
