Temporary Closure of Cano Cristales

Since December 11^th the access to Cano Cristales is prohibited. The are around the most colourful river in Colombia will be opened to the public next year, when the river is full of life and colours again. The closure of the area is supposed to give the ecosystem enough time to recover from the stresses of this year´s season.

Aditionally we would like to take point out that – especially for nature lovers -  there is other interesting activities and highlights to be done and seen in La Macarena. Amongst those e.g. Caño Piedra, Raudal Angosturas, Laguna del Silencio und Río Guayabero where you can take a ride on a canoe or raft while enjoying the beauty of nature.
