LATEST UPDATES - COLOMBIA, NEPTUNO, COVID

Worldwide, the numbers of Corona 19 are going up and down and up and down, however this doesn´t seem to affect people´s current wanderlust too much!
We are very positive that this trend will continue and that people will keep looking for (and booking) their next trip!

To keep you and your clients in the loop about the current travel situation to and within Colombia, please find all up-to-date information in the following:

First of all: 
Since the end of April, the nation has been protesting, mostly peacefully, but unfortunately in some cases with outbreaks of violence. Especially in the cities of Bogotá and Cali, there were some violent confrontations between police and protesters. 
The tax reform, which was one of the causes of the nationwide discontent, has already been withdrawn by the president, and the government has announced a meeting with the committee of protestors for May 10.
We expect the situation to calm down within the next few days.


Entry requirements:
  • negative Covid-19 PCR-tests, taken max 96 h prior to arrival
  • Online registration at Check-Mig, on the homepage of the Colombian migration office
  • Download and use of the application CORONAPP (AppleStore or GooglePlay)

General information:
  • the third wave has hit us here as well, so the numbers of confirmed Covid-19 cases was going up during the last couple of weeks, but have stabilized by now
  • vaccinations: about 10% of the population is vaccinated 
  • partially there are local lockdowns 
  • borders are open for international tourism 
  • tourism infrastructure is intact
  • national and international flights are operating
