Another sign that the country is returning to new normal:

This August, Medellin will once again be turned into an ocean of flowers, in the course of the famous Feria de Flores! This year, the feria will not take place only virtually, as it did last year, but "normally" in the presence of spectators. 

As of today, the event will take place without any major restrictions, so that the parades of the silleteros can be witnessed live, the colorful flower show can be admired on site, and the flower fincas can be visited.

CURRENT SITUATION COLOMBIA, JULY 2021

Even though the pandemic is still not over yet, people are gradually returning to "normal life" and the desire to travel is picking up. This trend is also emerging in Colombia, and daily life as well as tourism in the country feel more "normal" every day.

To keep you and your clients in the loop about the current travel situation to and within Colombia, please find all up-to-date information in the following:

1. NATIONAL STRIKE

Although the national strike in Colombia is not yet completely over, the situation in the country has calmed down and there are only very few small demonstrations. 

We are confident that negotiations between the government and the strike committee to clarify the key points of the strike - such as violations of human rights, the non-fulfillment of promises by the government or the political structuring of the economic development model - will take place soon and, with the participation of mediators, come to a successful conclusion 

Travelling through the country is not affected by the strike.

2. CORONA

Entry requirements:

Since June 1st, 2021, no negative PCR test is required anymore upon entry, nor do travelers have to register with the CoronoApp. 

Only the online registration at Check-Mig, through the homepage of the Colombian migration office, remains mandatory!

Attention: Although the country of Colombia no longer requires a negative PCR test, various airlines still do! Please consult with your airline before travelling.

General information:

• Case numbers have gone up in recent weeks, but have now stabilized and are slowly decreasing. The experts assume that the numbers will continue to go down.
• vaccinations: about 15% of the population is completely vaccinated, about 25% already got their first shot 
• possible restrictions are adjusted dynamically according to the occupancy of the local ICUs
• borders are open for international tourism 
• tourism infrastructure is intact
• national and international flights are operating

AKTUELLE LAGE IN KOLUMBIEN, JULI 2021

Auch wenn immer noch kein wirkliches Ende der Pandemie abzusehen ist, zieht das "normale Leben" Stück für Stück wieder ein und die Reiselust steigt. Auch in Kolumbien zeichnet sich dieser Trend ab, und das tägliche Leben wie auch der Tourismus im Land fühlen sich Tag für Tag "normaler" an.

Um euch und eure Kunden stets auf dem Laufenden zu halten, findet ihr im Folgenden alle aktuellsten Infos über die momentane Reisesituation nach/in Kolumbien:

1. NATIONALSTREIK

Zwar ist der Nationalstreik in Kolumbien noch nicht komplett vorbei, aber die Lage im Land hat sich beruhigt und es kommt nur noch sehr vereinzelt zu kleinen Demonstrationen. 
Wir sind zuversichtlich, dass Gesprächen zwischen der Regierung und dem Streikkommitee zum Klären der Hauptstreikpunkte - wie Menschenrechtsverletzungen, das Nicht-Einhalten von Versprechungen seitens der Regierung oder die politische Gestaltung des staatliche wirtschafltiche Entwicklungsmodell - bald stattfinden und dass diese, unter anderem durch das Mitwirken von Mediatoren, zu einem erfolgreichen Abschluss kommen werden. 
Reisen durchs Land sind durch den Streik meist nicht betroffen, lediglich in den Städten kann es passieren, dass eventuell gewisse Aktivitäten nicht durchgeführt werden können.

2. CORONA

Einreisebedingungen:

Seit dem 1. Juni 2021 muss bei Einreise weder ein negativer PCR Test vorgelegt werden, noch müssen sich Reisende bei der CoronoApp registrieren.
Lediglich die die online Registrierung beim Check-Mig, auf der Seite des Auswärtigen Amtes Kolumbien, bleibt verpflichtend!

Achtung: Obwohl das Land Kolumbien zwar keinen negativen PCR Test mehr verlangt, bleibt dies bei vielen Airlines weiterhin verpflichtend! Bitte vor Abflug mit der entsprechend Airline abklären.

Allgemeine Informationen:

• Die Fallzahlen sind in den letzten Wochen angestiegen, haben sich nun aber stabilisiert und nehmen langsam ab. Die Experten gehen davon aus, dass die Zahlen weiterhin abnehmen werden.
• Impfungen: Etwa 15% der Bevölkerung sind aktuell komplett geimpft, etwa 25% bereits mit der ersten Dosis
• Mögliche Einschränkungen werden gemäß der Auslastung der lokalen Intensivstationen dynamisch angepasst
• Die Grenzen für internationalen Tourismus sind geöffnet 
• Die Tourismus-Infrastruktur ist intakt
• Der nationale und internationale Flugverkehr ist in Betrieb
