We were eager to experience this great experience for ourselves, and recently visited La Palma y El Tucán. We left Bogotá early in the morning and arrived in Zipacón after a 2-hour drive, an impressive contrast: from the hustle and bustle of the city to impressive scenery and fresh air. The day was quite fresh, but with a cup of coffee we quickly warmed up. On a tour through the lands and greenhouses of the finca, we got a detailed insight into the world of coffee. La Palma y El Tucán is a sustainable coffee farm, with innovative methods for cultivation, harvesting, processing as well as marketing. We also learned how to make our own really good coffee at home.

from our own garden, give us new energy to continue with the visit of the hotel
installations in the afternoon.
The lovely owner shows us the 9 cabins, which are located in the middle of the coffee plantations. Each has a sleeping area, a private bathroom inside and outside and a terrace with an unbeatable view from the hammock. For all customers spending the night, the detailed coffee tour with all stages of the process is included.
We then visited the recently
inaugurated affiliate hotel, Biking-Adventure. Here we find 10 private
modern-style cabins built in the middle of the forest, offering the perfect
back drop for relaxation.
All adventure lovers can rent mountain bikes at the hotel and explore the various bike routes of the hotel. The hotel owners are very knowledgeable about hiking and biking routes also outside the hotel and so the perfect route for everyone can be found.
