DATES OF TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CIUDAD PERDIDA AND ARCHEOLOGICAL PARKS IN SAN AGUSTIN

CIUDAD PERDIDA

The exact dates, during which the Lost City, the Ciudad Perdida, situated in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, will be closed this year, are out:

From September 2^nd – 16^th 2019 the complex will be closed to the public.

The Ciudad Perdida is closed to the public so nature can regenerate entirely and the indigenous population can practice their spiritual rituals at one of their most sacred sites.

SAN AGUSTÌN

1. Due to construction works, the arqueological park Parque Alto de los Idolos in Isnos, will be closed from August 1^st 2019 – Juli 31^st 2020! As alternative we offer a visit to the park Parque Alto de las Piedras – a little smaller than Parque Alto de los Idolos, but not less interesting.

2. As every year, also in 2020 each park will be closed one day per week:

The arqueological park in San Agustín will be closed Tuesdays.

The arqueological park in Isnos will be closed Wednesdays.

7.000 BRICKS FOR THE FOUNDATION AMIGOS DEL ABUELO

Maybe you remember, that about one year ago we informed you about the plans of the foundation “Amigos del Abuelo” (grandfather´s friends) to build a new, bigger home, that complies with current standards.

Just recently they laid the foundation on a property right next to the current one.

As we grew very fond of this project and want to contribute to guaranteeing a shelter for the elderly people living at Amigos del Abuelo, we would love to help drive this construction work forward.

7.000 bricks – that´s the number of bricks needed to build the foundation walls. So literally every single brick counts, which is why the idea of their management is the following:

Instead of donating money, they ask to donate bricks. This way the donor can directly measure his contribution and see how the construction of the new house is progressing step by step and brick by brick.

One brick costs about 0.33 USD, resulting in a total cost of 2310 USD.

If you want to support the construction of the Amigos del Abuelo´s new shelter, we – and of course the residents at the foundation – are more thrilled about every contribution.

(After completing the purchase of bricks, incoming donations will be used for other building materials like cement, beams, etc.)

NEUE VIVAAIR-ROUTE ZWISCHEN CARTAGENA UND LIMA

Vivaair baut sein Netz weiter aus und verbindet so bald die kolumbianische Karibikküste mit Peru.

Ab dem 07. Juni 2019 wird ein Direktflug zwischen Cartagena und Lima angeboten, welcher somit die dritte Vivaair-Verbindung zwischen Kolumbien und Peru ist.

Bisher hatte die Airline Bogotá – Lima – Bogotá sowie Medellín – Lima – Medellín im Angebot.

Flüge zwischen Cartagena und Lima sollen vier Mal wöchentlich angeboten werden - Montag, Mittwoch, Freitag und Sonntag – und die Airline geht davon aus, im ersten Jahr etwa 60.000 Passagiere auf dieser Strecke zu transportieren.

AUSFLÜGE UND ÜBERNACHTUNG AUF KAFFEE-FINCA IN CUNDINAMARCA

Wir haben wieder ein spannendes neues Produkt ausgearbeitet:

Für Kunden, denen schlichtweg die Zeit fehlt, einen Abstecher in die bekannten Kaffeeregionen zu machen, oder diejenigen, die gerne einfach einmal neue Gegenden erkunden möchten, bieten wir einen Ausflug von 1 – 2 Tagen zur Finca La Palma y El Tucán in Zipacón. Diese liegt nur etwa 2 Stunden entfernt von Bogotá, inmitten einer Kaffeplantage, eingebettet in die atemberaubende Andenlandschaft Cundinamarcas.

Bei dieser Kaffeetour und bei Übernachtung im Hotel, sind die Kunden beim Thema Kaffee nicht nur dabei, sondern wortwörtlich mitten drin.

Der Besuch der Finca lässt sich optimal als 1- oder 2-tägige-Tour ab Bogota anbieten, sowie auch als Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg von Bogotá nach Honda und/oder Medellín.

Im Folgenden als Beispiel die Beschreibung der Tagestour:

Morgens beginnt die etwa zweistündige Fahrt nach Zipacón, wo Sie die Kaffeefinca La Palma & El Tucan kennenlernen werden, die sich inmitten einer wunderschönen bergigen Naturlandschaft mit angenehmem Klima befindet.

Erleben Sie diese einzigartige und lehrreiche Erfahrung, indem Sie die Finca in Begleitung eines erfahrenen Guides erkunden. Lernen Sie aus erster Hand die täglichen Aktivitäten auf einer Finca kennen, die einen außerordentlichen Kaffee produziert, der auf internationaler Ebene bei den renommiertesten Wettbewerben prämiert wurde. Besuchen Sie die Kaffeeanbauanlagen, die Keimkästen, die Maschinerie, den Trocknungsbereich, das Labor von Catación und die Kaffeeplantagen mit einer exotischen Auswahl. NEW VIVAAIR-FLIGHTROUTE BETWEEN CARTAGENA AND LIMA

Vivaair extends its network and will soon connect the Colombian Caribbean coast with Peru.

As of June 7^th 2019 they will offer a directflight between Cartagena and Lima, which is the third Vivaair connection between Colombia and Peru.

So far, the airline operated Bogotá – Lima – Bogotá and Medellín – Lima – Medellín.

Flights between Cartagena and Lima will be offered 4 times per week – Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday – and the airline expects about 60.000 passengers during the first year.
