Presenting the „Amigos del Abuelo“ Charitable Foundation

We continue with the presentation of another foundation in Bogotá. The “Amigos del Abuelo”, the “Friends of Grandfather”, focus on the extremely vulnerable population of homeless elderly. The foundation runs an old people’s home, which is being financed by donations. They care for approximately 33 men and women, who had mostly been living under extremely harsh circumstances and without any help of relatives on the streets of Bogotá.

The foundation’s property is located close to the historical center Candelaria. They started operating in 1992 and since then they have completely supplied primary health care and alimentation for all of their residents. You can support the foundation with any kind of donation: Whether clothes, food or money, everything is being needed here.
