The Tayrona National Park at the Caribbean Coast reopened on
February 28th after a temporary closing
of one month. All hotels that are located in the park from now on will operate
normal. Furthermore the operation of day tours into the park are available once
again.
According to the operator of the Tayrona National Park the reason for
the temporary closing is a petition of the indigenous people that live in the
Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in order to guarantee the ecological recuperation
of the ecosystem.
