BABY TURTLES AT THE PACIFIC COAST - WITH DISCOUNT

We already know that the Pacific coast has a whole lot more to offer, than only whale watching from June – October. To make this magical destination more attractive to your clients also during the rest of the year, in the following we introduce a special package of the Ecolodge El Almejal and offer a 10% discount for these bookings.

Travelwindow: October 20th – December 20th 2019

Between October through December all the attention at El Almejal is drawn to the hatching of the baby turtles at the beach. Your clients, during their 4-day-stay, get to see them up close:

Day 1: Arrival to Bahia Solano 
Pick-up at the airport Bahia Solano, overland transfer to the Ecolodge, check-in and lunch. Free time in the afternoon to discover the beach in front of the Ecolodge.

Day 2: Release of  baby turtles, hike through the natural reserve and nocturnal patrol
In the early morning hours we visit the turtle’s breeding grounds to free the baby turtles which are ready to hatch. After breakfast we go on a hike through the nature reserve El Almejal. In the night we do a nocturnal patrol to find breeding turtles.

Day 3: Visit of another conservation project for turtles
We walk along the wide Beach El Valle which is the biggest breeding ground for Olive ridley sea turtle of the whole South-American pacific coast. After this we visit a local project that is also fighting for the conservation of turtles, and where we get another chance to observe the sea turtles to hatch.

Day4: Departure
After breakfast we head back to the airport of Bahia Solano.

*Important: These natural processes cannot be guaranteed with one hundred percent certainty. Therefore, if the program does not run according to plan, we provide the clients with a free of charge repetition of one of the turtle - activities during their stay. The activities described in the itinerary are subject to change due to climatic and logistical conditions.
