A SEA OF FLOWERS - NEW TOUR IN THE SURROUNDINGS OF MEDELLIN

Flowers, flowers, flowers, as far as the eye can see - red ones, white ones, pink ones, blue ones...an in between the chirping birds.

Not far from Medellin we found a beautiful flower farm, that will amaze you with its plentitude of hydrangeas and orchides. Especially for nature lovers and photographers our new tour Entre Flores (between flowers) is a must-see!

Please find the detailed description of the tour in the following and in case you have further questions, feel free to contact your local travel agent.

Full Day Tour Entre Flores:

Enjoy one of the best private collections of orchids in the country (more than 10,000 plants and a diversity of 5,000 species and hybrids) and learn about the cultivation of hydrangeas (15 hectares planted in white hydrangea for export). After approx. 1.5 h transfer from Medellin arrival at the site.
In a kiosk, surrounded by nature and gardens, visitors can enjoy a delicious “pan de queso” with coffee, while observing the birds that arrive at the feeders.

This is followed by the San Isidro flower farm, which has 15 hectares planted in white hydrangea. By means of a guided tour, in a gentle walk of approximately 45 minutes, you can see the entire process of growing hydrangeas. Visitors can walk "between flowers", take photos surrounded by hydrangeas and collect their own bouquet of flowers.

After a picnic lunch at the kiosk you go to an ecological trail. On a route of approximately 400 meters, you can observe a variety of native plants, including many species of orchids, bromeliads, anthuriums and mosses.

The visit of the orchid collection ends this tour: there is a guided tour of the collection, which has about 5,000 different orchids.

Due to the great variety of orchids, there are always different flowering plants, as each species has a different flowering time. During the visit, the colors, shapes, fragrances, textures and seduction techniques (pollination) that these marvelous beings of nature use are highlighted.
