New products in Bogota: “Authentic experiences with local people”

Today we want to present two new touristic products in Bogota which focus on experiences with local people and the authenticity of the Colombian culture.

Here we go …

Having dinner with a Colombian family
In the evening we will experience a typical national dish in typical Colombian middle class Family. After the transfer to their house you will have time to talk with the family members about different topics of the current living conditions in Colombia. A great start to get in contact with the the colombian culture and to explore the every day life of Colombians.

For dinner it is served the  typical main dish of Bogota, the Ajiaco, a Chicken and Potato Soup. Colombians food is very diverse and each region of the country is having its own characteristic food. You will have enough time to ask almost any question you want. After a cup of coffee it is time to drive back to your local hotel. Duration: approximately 4 hours

Playing Tejo, Colombia´s national sport
Playing tejo requires great ability and concentration. It is the designated national pastime of Colombia, a sport invented by the Chibcha Indians. Metal discs are thrown at the targets, and those targets embedded in sand are small explosive charges of gunpowder wrapped in paper known as mechas. The goal is to hit these Mechas with your Tejo, so that the black powder will explode.

Our private transport picks you up from your hotel in the afternoon and takes you to one of Bogotá's beery tejo venues. These are very rustical authentic places, where people use to drink a lot of beer.
Duration: approximately 2-3 hours.

-          Transport (for Hotels not located at La Candelaria) and bilingual speaking guide.
-          2 Beer per person (which at the same time is the entrance fee for playing tejo)
