Yellow Fever vaccination in Colombia

In the last few weeks different Colombian institutions published different news about the handling of the yellow fever vaccination in Colombia. Thats why the tourism industry was a little bit confused about the ambivalent information. In the last days the Colombian Ministry of Health has revised their publications about the yellow fever warning in Colombia. We mentioned the topic already in our last newsletter. The Colombian government has introduced a new requirement for travellers entering Colombia from Brazil, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda to present an international yellow fever vaccination at the port of entry. In those countries have been registered yellow fever outbreaks. For travellers from others countries the yellow fever vaccination is NOT REQUIRED anymore, it is just a recommendation if they plan to visit areas of high riskthat include areas below 2.300m (7500ft).
