LITTLE BY LITTLE COLOMBIA OPENS ITS BORDERS TO THE REST OF THE WORLD

We are happy to share good and important updates about the re-activation of the international flight connections to/from Colombia, which has significantly incerased during the past month:

Since September 01st plenty of national flight connections have already returned to "new normal" (active airlines: Avianca, LatAm, Viavaair, Satena, EasyJet) and since September 19th the re-activation of the international connections has begun little by little (see 1.).

To enter Colombia, visitors have to comply with certain entry requirements (see 2.)

1. Flight Connections

In the following a brief overview showing what flight connections will be re-activated at what point of time (Note: This information is subject to unannounced changes).

 - Since September
From: Cartagena
To: Fort Lauderdale (Spirit Airlines)

From: Medellín 
To: Miami (Vivaair, Avianca), Fort Lauderdale (Spirit Airlines), New York (Avianca)

Since October 01st
From: Bogotá
To: New York, Guayaquil, Quito, Ciudad de México, Sao Paulo
Airline: Avianca

- Before October 14th
From: Bogotá
To: Atlanta (Delta), Houston (United Airlines), Dallas and Miami (American Airlines),
 
From: Cartagena, Baranquilla
To: Miami (American Airlines)

- As of October 15th
From: Bogotá
To: Washington, Cancún (México), Ciudad de Guatemala, La Paz und Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), Punta Cana and Santa Domingo (Dominican Republic), Río de Janeiro, Santiago de Chile, San Salvador. 
Airline: Avianca

The re-opening of the routes to/from Europe currently still strongly depends on the respective local regulations. Depending on those national and international (european) immigration and emigration regulations, flights will be resumed as soon as possible (according to the current state, probably as of November).

2. Entry Requirements

To enter Colombia, visitors have to comply with the following entry requirements:

a) A negative Covid-19 PCR-test (max 96 hours prior departure)
b) Online registration at Check-Mig, on the homepage of the Colombian migration office
c) Download and use of the application CORONAPP (AppleStore or GooglePlay)
