End of the water shortage on the Caribbean Coast

Since December of 2013 it has not rained in many areas of the Caribbean north of Columbia. The region Guajira, one of the driest parts of Columbia, is traditionally an arid region but the National Park Tayrona, one of the most important touristic destinations in the whole country, was hit by a drought within the last few months. Although the park has not lost any of its fascinating attraction, the effects of this development were clearly visible. In the last two weeks some needed rain showers were registered and the local flora and fauna is starting to recuperate. The question is whether it can be considered an effect of the climatic change, or if it a totally natural phenomenon which has always occurred periodically at regular intervals.
